The Dwarka-Barakhamba Road Section of the line was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh on 31 December 2005 and open to the public on 31 December 2005. It is the longest line(including branch line) currently running on the Delhi Metro Network. Dwarka Sector-9 Metro Station is a part of Dwarka-Barakhamba and it's situated on the blue line at Dwarka Sector 9, Dwarka New Delhi of Delhi Metro.
The station was opened on 1 april 2006.The station is owned by Delhi Metro and operated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The station structure is elevated and the code is DSN. The station has two tracks and one side platform. Around 7,592 passengers daily travel from this metro. The station is facilitated with Bank ATM( State Bank of India, Panjab National Bank, IndusInd Bank), Parking, Disabled access.
